Grandma’s Garden…. {Boise, Idaho Children’s Photographer}

… yup… it’s more snapshots from california. I leave for Georgia in 4 days and am trying to get caught up with editing, blogging, etc, before i come home from my trip and have more editing, blogging, etc to do.

My mom has always had a nice garden. When we were little, we lived on an acre and the garden was huge! We all helped plant, water, and harvest. Now my mom lives on a much smaller lot and has lots of deer that she fights with, so the garden is much smaller, but still just as good.

and forget about florida… this orange tree has some of the best oranges I’ve ever tasted! The kids had so much fun pickin’ and eatin’

Howarth Park… {Boise, Idaho Children’s Photographer}

… has got to be one of the best parks in the world. This is a park I grew up going to all the time. I remember my grandma taking me, so having my kids get to go with their grandma was extra special.

This park has everything you can imagine! These pics were taken over 2 days, and I still didn’t capture everything!

Growing up, we referred to this park as “the duck park”. Going here to fee the ducks is definitely one of my favorite childhood pastimes…. and going back with my kids brought back so many great memories. This is definitely part of home for me.

On the weekends in the summer they bring in animals for a petting zoo and ponies for pony rides. I think this was one of the kids favorite parts. ( although Jack REALLY didn’t want to ride a girl pony; one with purple reins)

This park has a kiddie train that goes around a small portion of the park. The conductor tells ghost stories and points out a stuffed gorilla in a tree. I loved this train as a kid!

The little carousel is still there too. This is another ride my kids would’ve loved to go on over and over.

The park also has an awesome playland area. It has all of your standard play equipment but it also has a huge spider web that they loved climbing and a huge make-believe play area. My kids favorite section was the jail..

So yes… just tons and tons to keep em busy here. I only wish we could get a park like this closer than 12 hours…. :)

onto my own….. {Boise, Idaho Children’s Photographer}

So I’ve finally finished all of my california clients and it’s time to move onto the other 15 gigs I shot while I was there. The shots of my own kids! :) Now most of them are snapshots, but still need to be blogged so that they can show up in my blog book at the end of the year. However, the first day we were there I snuck off with Haley and my neice to try out a location I had planned for a client. We didn’t have much time, and they mostly wanted to run and play, but I was soooo loving this tall grassy field and ended up getting a few keepers.

she looks just like my sister :)

slowly but surely, i’ll get through the rest and have plenty to share and bore you all with, i’m sure… Stay tuned :)
