So this year I am really hoping to take more photos of my kids… and not just Layla . A few of my photographer friends are starting and joing different photography challenge groups for the year. Some involve a picture a day, others a picture a week and some are trying to commit to just once a month. I’m feeling a little ambitious wanting to commit to the once a week challenges but I’m going to try! The group I’ve joined is putting out weekly themes for inspiration… you can take them any way you want…
So this weeks theme was light…
Just trying to get a picture of cute little Carson on his new bike with a little evening flare.

He says he’s my KID, not my baby. I love that even at 4, he still asks me to “snuggle him up”… a request that I can NOT refuse! I love that when I say “I love you xoxo”, he responds with, “I love you too! xoxo hugs and kisses, hugs and kisses” He is such a sweet, loving little guy. I’m so lucky that he’s mine and feel blessed every day to be his mom.

My oldest turns 12 today and that makes me old!
This beautiful girl makes me feel blessed every day. She is sweet, smart, kind and so many other wonderful things!
I’m so very grateful for the past 12 years I’ve gotten to spend with her, and look forward to many many more!

I know everyone says it, but this Summer truly went by way too fast. We packed up a house, moved, unpacked, and had a baby. It was very eventful, and lots of great things happened, but it flew by!
Hopefully next summer we’ll be able to sit back, relax, and maybe squeeze some fun in too!

but not for long….
This little dude has been my sweet little baby for 3 1/2 years now – and oh how I have loved every minute of it! He is truly the sweetest little guy you’ll ever meet. He loves to cuddle and snuggle all day long. He tells me that he loves me at least a dozen times a day. I know he’ll still be here and be my little guy when this baby decides to make her appearance, but I will miss having him as the youngest…the baby. I’m sure he’ll still be my best little friend though! I hope so anyway….






and for our little photo-date, my good friend Kendra came along with her sweet daughter Ella. I couldn’t help but snap a few of her cute little face!

…but sometimes my 3 year old looks like this all day long….

Carson came along to one of my V-day sessions last week. He was so good, but was clearly feeling a little left out. Believe me when I say this kid does not let me take his pictures, and if he does… there is hardly ever any eye contact. So… when he got all dressed up (all by himself) and stole my clients spot as soon as she moved, how could I NOT take a picture of his sweet little face?!?!

They were seriously some of the cutest little boys I’ve ever met! And with my own Jack and Carson at home I could sooooo relate to their silly little personalities that went right along with their ages. They were so much fun and made the session so easy!
