Is it really Monday already?!? and I still don’t have more photos from our trip to cali for you, but I quickly edited some from our little fishing trip this weekend.

She was so tiny and sweet and slept like a rock. I usually spend a bit of time trying to get the baby into a heavy sleep so that I can really work with them. During this time, I usually try to get some open-eyed photos in…. These are always Grandma’s favorite. Well… Sweet little E wouldn’t even open her eyes for us… not one bit!

E’s daddy is an OB/GYN so I really wanted at least one photograph with his hands…

We had a great 4th, even though the firework show was canceled this year. Kind of a sad story, but it could’ve been much worse!

We hung out with friends and instead of heading over to watch the display, we went home and had a tiny little firework show of our own. It was actually just right for our kids
(fyi… this is what a shot looks like at 6400iso completely unedited – yup- lazy!)

and isn’t she cute!?!?
We had a short session and we’re racing the light, but Miss A really really wanted to go out to the tracks and get some shots. We hurried through the first locations, then ran out there to get what we could get….

as we were shooting on the tracks, trying to find the perfect pose, Haley (my assistant that night) kept saying, “Mom, is that a train?… Are those lights way down their a train?” I’d turn and look and they looked too far to be anything so we kept on shooting. Then those lights got closer and closer and I knew we were running out of time.
So instead of packing up, knowing that the sun would be gone once the LONG train was done passing….
We just kept on shooting!

This weekend Jack got to go on his first “boys only” camping trip. Grandpa sent him an email ( i mean sent me an email addressed to Jack) last week asking him if he could go camping and fishing with him. Well, once he got that email, there was NO stopping him! He couldn’t wait!
So on Friday we packed him up with some warm clothes and waited and waited for Grandpa to show up. When Grandpa got there he got to help him load the trailer and the boat. And then they were off. He was actually happy to let me snap some pics of him getting ready.

Too bad that they had to come home early because of SNOW!!! Poor guys drove right back into winter!
