Boise Newborn Photographer | The first few days….

Because L&D went so quickly and I was unable to get my antibiotics, Layla and I were required to stay in the hospital for a minimum of 48 hours so that Layla’s vitals could be monitored. I know that some people are in a hurry to get home after having a baby, but I honestly didn’t mind. There’s something about being confined to a room for the first few days of your baby’s life… the chance to just sit and stare, to examine every detail of your new baby, to bond… to fall in love.

and since there was no time to pull out the camera in the delivery room, it was time to capture lots of pictures of my quickly changing sweet baby….

Cliff brought the kids in to meet her. I loved watching them glow as they held her and examined every detail on their own…
I think each one of them fell in love with her instantly…

Woah… that’s a big family!

my best friend so happy to see me! I do think I’m quickly being replaced as his favorite by his new baby sister though….

The view from my bed. They should really charge extra for this one… It’s the best view in the whole hospital!

Day 2… it was mostly feet day I guess… but man they were so cute! and I love all those wrinkles that so quickly disappear!

She has the best hair ever! It is slowly getting lighter though and so curly!!

Day 3… we get to go home!
the sweet little going home outfit that she BARELY fit into…

snuggled in the carseat for the drive home… Goodbye St. Lukes!

Thank you for the pictures of Layla. She’s beautiful!! Looks to me a lot like Carson. I’d love to go and hold that precious bundle! We’re in the middle of clean-up/repair after they tore up our front yard (sewer line repair) yesterday. Dad’s still coughing his head off occasionally. So, it’ll be a few more days when we can come. Hope you are feeling well, Amanda. The baby looks like she’s flourishing. Congratulations, again and thank you for your 21st grandchild and all your hard work in getting her here. Love, Mom Andrews
p.s. Got a brand new computer Monday at Walmart. Chris said it was better than the one he just bought for the same price. It’s
sooooo much faster. I’m excited. Chris gave me his after he bought the new one, but that one started to do crazy things, too, so got a brand new one and I’m glad I did. Give all the kids kisses from me. See you soon.
