Marriage…. {Boise Idaho Photographer}

…while we’re on the subject, i thought it would be a good time to post this picture.

While we were in California Cliff and I took the kids to see where him and I were married. They loved seeing this beautiful place and it was fun to go back with our whole family.

I attempted to take a photo that could be blown up and hung on my wall. What d’ya think? Color or bnw?

The Oakland LDS Temple…

I’m usually all about black and white pictures….but I LOVE this color one…..

Michelle - July 17, 2009 - 12:12 am

Color for sure!!!

Love it, that is where my mom and dad in-law were sealed also!! :)

Ellen Patton - July 17, 2009 - 7:41 am

My brother eloped to the Oakland Temple! I love the b&w picture.

That’s where Ben and I were married also. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Makes my heart skip a beat….and, I love the bw so much. I’m tempted to ask if I can buy a copy from you…Name your price. I don’t think we’ll be getting up there anytime soon.

no brainer. color

Danna - July 19, 2009 - 10:57 am

I vote color! I usually always choose b&w but I think this looks amazing in color. What a great trip to take as a family.

Carrie Young - July 20, 2009 - 4:58 am

BW for me! I am a colour girl thru & thru, but I think all the colour detracts from the amazing building, where as the b&w lets the building speak for itself. 😀

Beautiful. I love the B&W. I have some from the SLC LDS Temple, where my cousin got married. The architecture & grounds alone just amaze me every time!

Southern Wedding….

So Last week I took a trip to Southern Georgia to attend and shoot one of my best friends weddings. I was so glad that I could be there and be a part of her beautiful day. The groom is from Georgia and so she chose this beautiful southern location to spend her special day. Gin Creek was an AMAZING location. It is a family run business and I can not say enough good things about the gin creek family. I felt completely welcomed and at home there. I hope that some day I can bring my husband back there. I just know he will love it.

So as far as pictures go… There was another photographer there… the groom’s cousin. I didn’t get as much time with the bride and groom as I would have liked (5 minutes total i think), but I hope that the other images that I captured throughout the day are a true repesentation of the happiness and love that everyone that attended felt.

Congratulations Carol and Shaun!!

Love this one of Carol throwing the bouquet…:)it makes me smile

Did I mention that they got married on the 4th of July?:)

I also have to give Carol a ton of credit for all of th e work that she put into all the details of the day. She made all of the center-pieces, the other flower arrangements, the favors, her bouquet and her sisters, all of the bouteniers and corsages… the list goes on and on. I was truly impressed!

So after my first experience as a wedding photographer, I won’t write off ever doing one again… but i do need to catch my breath before ever attempting another one. My hat definitely goes off to you photographers that do this all the time!!!

Sarah D - July 13, 2009 - 9:27 am

Hello my name is Sarah, I found your website through BRClan and I just had a couple of questions about how you got the copyright for your photos and what other legal things should I think about if I wanted to start my own business at some point? I have visited Legalzoom and it seems pretty easy to get my own copyright. I’ve done some photos for friends from our church, family pictures, a wedding, some graduations pictures, things like that, but IF I branch out and do this at some point I want to be able to cover myself legally if something should happen. Any information you have would be helpful. Sincerely, Sarah D

You can e-mail me back at the address I gave as well. :~)

Wow, what great shots. You did such a wonderful job. You gonna start doing weddings? I’d love to be able to refer people to you because weddings scare the hell out of me!

Jaidean - July 14, 2009 - 9:07 am

These are beautiful, Amanda!

Fary & Albert - July 15, 2009 - 12:28 am

We both would like to let you know that your work is amazing! If you’re down for the challenge, we’d definitely love to have you as our wedding photographer (when the time comes). Carol’s definitely lucky to have a person such as yourself as a best friend. Keep up the awesome work.

What stunning images. I love that one of her and the bouquet and the fireworks! Just so fun and real.

Mary Johnson - July 18, 2009 - 11:59 pm

Dear Amanda,
Your pictures are fabulous!!! Loved them all. So very nice for us all who could not attend. Was especially great that you could be there to share this time with Carol. You have a very busy life with lots of commitments and responsibilities with your family and children. I know this meant the most to Carol that you could share this together. You have a wonderful talent and eye for your photos. They pack a big punch and strike in the emotion category. Best friends are a treasure and you are part of the find. The best to you and your beautiful family.—-Mary Johnson
